I decided to make an appointment to see a doctor on my day off today. Since Matthew's cough hadn't gone away yet, I made one for him too.
An hour after our appointment time, we finally get taken back to have BP, temp & weight recorded. The doctor came to see us about 10 minutes later. She checked our ears, stomachs, throats, eyes & double checked our meds. In less than 10 minutes, she was done with us.
She fills my prescriptions (the whole reason I was there) & puts Matthew on antibiotics which I'M OK WITH since it's been over a year (or 3?) since he's had antibiotics (& I agree that he needs them THIS TIME). The nurse comes in with all the scripts & tells me I need a blood test for my liver. Uck.
Now you see why I go to my chiropractor for most of my problems. I hate needles & antibiotics are NOT the answer every time. But my chiropractor does believe that all I need is magnesium to take care of my asthma.
So, in general:
GPs treat your time like nothing & walk in to the room with a prescription pad.
Chiropractors think all medicine is evil (even if it's what's kept me alive the past 30 years).
My thoughts: all doctors suck. Agreed?
